Cheating, Exploits, and Unauthorized Software

Azeroth Reforged is committed to fair and balanced gameplay for all players. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • The use or promotion of cheats, client file modifications, or automation tools that provide unfair advantages.
  • The use or promotion of third-party software that automates character actions, including bots.
  • Abuse of bugs, exploits, or unintended game mechanics to farm gold, reputation, kills, or any other in-game advantage.

All reports must be submitted privately through in-game tickets.

Multi-Boxing Policy

Players are allowed to run up to two game clients at a time, with these conditions:

  • Multiboxing is not allowed while flagged for PvP or while using War Mode.
  • Multiboxing is not allowed on characters engaged in Hardcore challenge modes.
  • Up to three accounts may be used simultaneously for summoning rituals only.
  • Use of multiboxing software is never allowed.

Violations may lead to character restrictions or account action.

Account Sharing, Gold Selling & RMT

To maintain a healthy in-game economy and community integrity:

  • Selling or buying gold, characters, or services for real money is strictly forbidden.
  • GDKP-style raids or runs that exchange loot for gold, money, or in-game currency are prohibited.
  • Boosting Hardcore characters is not allowed, even if offered for free.
  • Mercenary tanking/healing for gold only is permitted in 5-man content. DPS selling and raid mercenary work is not permitted.
  • Cross-realm gold trading is not supported and is disallowed.

Account sharing is allowed at your own risk, but you are responsible for any violations committed under your account.

Respecting Staff

Players are expected to treat GMs and developers with the same respect they would expect in return. Harassment, manipulation, or toxic behavior toward staff will not be tolerated.

Roleplay Etiquette

While RP is optional on Azeroth Reforged, players who choose to participate must be respected. Disrupting RP events or trolling roleplayers can result in disciplinary action.

Naming Policy

We ask that players choose immersive fantasy names where possible. However, the following are not allowed:

  • Names that reference real-world public figures, political or religious themes.
  • Sexually explicit, vulgar, or offensive names.
  • Names that mimic staff or impersonate moderators.
  • Guild names using real-world country names.

Players may be asked to rename characters or guilds in violation.

Chat & Communication Rules

To maintain a respectful and enjoyable environment:

  • Public chats like /world and /trade are English only (guild recruitment messages may use other languages).
  • Avoid spamming messages or posting the same line repeatedly.
  • No discussions of politics, religion, or controversial topics.
  • Hate speech, harassment, doxxing, and personal attacks are not tolerated.
  • Respect GM directives when asked to adjust content in public channels.

Private channels are less regulated, but harassment, stalking, or evading ignore lists may still result in action.

PvP Conduct

In PvP, the following are considered violations:

  • Win-trading or purposely throwing matches.
  • AFK’ing or refusing to participate in battlegrounds.
  • Using multiple accounts to manipulate battleground queues.
  • Safespotting in inaccessible locations.
  • Cross-faction grouping during open-world PvP.

Hardcore characters who flag for PvP do so at their own risk.

Griefing

Griefing includes but is not limited to:

  • Camping quest givers, essential NPCs, or world objectives for prolonged periods.
  • Forcing other players into PvP or disrupting their progress with mob manipulation.
  • Interfering with scripted quests or using objects to block entrances.

Reports must include video or screenshot evidence.

Reporting Misconduct

All behavior reports should be made privately and include as much detail as possible.

  • For chat abuse: provide name, channel, date, and time.
  • For other issues: use in-game tickets or contact support via Discord.

False or malicious reports will result in penalties.

Bugged Quest Assistance

If you are stuck on a bugged quest, contact a GM using an in-game ticket. Please include:

  • Quest name
  • NPC/Object/Item involved
  • Description of the issue

Not all cases will receive GM intervention; some may be redirected to the bug tracker.

Loot Disputes

Loot disputes are not typically handled by staff unless:

  • Clear loot rules were stated at the start of a raid and then violated.
  • In raids, items can be traded for 10 minutes after the kill under certain conditions. No manual trade requests will be honored for 5-man dungeons.

Item Restoration

Players can use an in-game vendor (e.g., Trash Collector) to recover up to 128 lost items.

GM assistance is only available if:

  • A key quest item was lost within the last month.
  • A legendary item was lost within the last month.

Donation Token Refunds

Refunds are only available if:

  • The donation tokens are unused.
  • The request is made within 48 hours.
  • The item was not used on a deleted character.

Hardcore character points are automatically refunded on death.

Appealing a GM Decision

All decisions can be appealed via in-game ticket or the web control panel. Appeals must be respectful and constructive.

Tickets containing insults or accusations of favoritism will be closed without reply.
